Four UP civic body heads sworn in

All four chairpersons (two for nagar palika parishad in Jais and Gauriganj, and two for Amethi and Musafirkhana nagar panchyats) elected in the latest civic body polls were sworn in today, officials said here.

Chandrama Devi of the BJP took oath as chairperson of Amethi nagar panchyat for a third time at a ceremony administered by SDM (Amethi) Priyanka Singh, they said.

Mahesh Prasad Sonkar of the saffron party took oath as chairman of Jais nagar palika parishad at a ceremony administered by SDM (Tiloi) Dr. AK Shukla, they added.

In the Gauriganj nagar palika parishad, Rajpati Passi of the Samajvadi Party was sworn in as chairperson the SDM (Gauriganj) Moti Lal, the officials said.
 

SDM A K Pandey administered the oath of office to Brijesh Agrahari of the BJP as the chairperson of Musafirkhana nagar panchyat, the officials added.
