Freight rates for 10-tonne pay load section for Chandigarh and Ludhiana were up by Rs 500 in the local truck transport market today on increased cargo movements against less availability of trucks.
Transporters said tight availability of trucks against pick-up in cargo movements pushed up rates for select destinations.
Freight rates from Delhi to Chandigarh and Ludhiana were up by Rs 500 each to Rs 21,500 and Rs 23,500, respectively.
