The police today arrested five members of a gang of car thieves and recovered 41 motorcycles and three cars from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, police today raided an abandoned factory in Malour village of the district and arrested five besides recovering the vehicles.
The gang, which was also into preparing fake documents for resale of the stolen vehicles, was operating in Muktsar, Ferozepur, Bathinda, Mansa and Sangrur, police said, adding that a case has been registered in this matter.
