Gas tanker overturns: Mangalore-Bangalore NH blocked

A gas tanker carrying LPG to Bangalore from here turned turtle at Uppinandady on the Mangalore-Bangalore National Highway blocking the traffic in the route today.

The mishap which occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle caused a minor gas leakage, Police said.

Police and fire personnel and an emergency team rushed to the spot and started transferring the gas from the wrecked carrier to another tanker.
