Girl allegedly raped by father

Police in Nuzvid town in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh have registered a case against a man for allegedly raping his daughter.

The accused, resident of Ajaraiahpet in Nuzvid town, raped his minor daughter yesterday, said sub-inspector V Satish.

The girl lodged complaint today. She was sent to the government hospital for medical examination.

A case under Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act was registered. The accused was absconding, police said.
