Girl dies after consuming spurious medicine

A four-year-old girl died after allegedly consuming spurious medicine at the Pala Sahibabad locality in the old city area, police said here today.

Vishaka died after she was allegedly given spurious medicine purchased from a local medicine store this morning, they said.

Later, locals held violent protests at Sasni Gate police station.

The girl's father has filed a complain against the owner of the store, who is absconding, police added.
