Girl injured in knife attack by youth

A 19-year-old girl was allegedly injured in a knife attack by a youth in her house in Ravi Nagar area here, police said today.

"The girl was attacked and injured with a knife by one Ranjeet, who entered her house in Ravi Nagar here last evening," Circle Officer, Pramod Kumar Yadav said.

So far, in the preliminary investigation the incident is a fallout of one sided love affair.

On complaint of the girl's father, an FIR was registered yesterday evening at Mughalsarai police station and a manhunt has been launched to nab the youth, he said.
