A 49-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a nine-year-old girl in his house at Burari area in north Delhi, police said today.
According to the police, Harish, who is a small time shop keeper dealing in garments, lured the girl to his house on Saturday afternoon and assaulted her sexually.
He then dropped the girl home where she told her mother about the incident and she took her to police to lodge a complaint.
The girl was sent for medical examination and after confirmation of sexual assault, Harish was apprehended from his house which is in the victim's neighbourhood, police said.
