A 13-year-old tribal girl was shot dead with an arrow following an argument over drawing water from a handpump at Chhota Bhavta village near here, police said today.
Surmda Bhil, her brother Nirmal and uncle Suresh had gone to fetch water from a hand-operated borewell in the village late last night, Azadnagar police station inspector SPS Chauhan said.
The borewell's owner, Inder Singh (55), and his son Mesta (30), also belonging to a tribal community, got into an argument with them over drawing water, and allegedly shot arrows at them.
