Girl student killed, angry villagers burn truck

Superintendent of Police Natasha Gudiya said Yashmin Khatoon was crushed to death under the wheel of the truck while crossing a busy road near Triverma Chowk.

Angry over the incident, locals blocked the Gopalganj-Yadavpur Road for several hours and burnt the truck.

Driver of the truck managed to flee from the spot, sources said.
