Gisele Bundchen learnt English through Mariah Carey Songs

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen, who could only speak Portuguese and a bit of Spanish, in the early days of her career, learnt English by listening to the songs of Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men.

The 33-year-old supermodel could not speak English when she first came to the United States at the age of 16 to pursue a modelling career in 1990s, reported People magazine.

When the singer was asked how she learnt English on a show, Bundchen said," My wonderful cassette tapes, Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey, saved my life. They were great teachers, so I have to thank them one day if I ever meet them in person. They were very inspiring.
