Goa, Ahmedabad freight rates up on tight trucks position

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for Ahmedabad and Goa moved up by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market today following tight availability of trucks against better cargo movements.

Transporters said pick up cargo movements against paucity of trucks in markets mainly led to rise in goa and ahmedabad freights.

Capital to Ahmedabad and Goa freight rates went up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 25,000 and Rs 59,000.

Elsewhere, other centres freight after moving either side, enquired same at overnight levels.
