Gooding Jr to make directorial debut with 'Louisiana Caviar'

"Jerry Maguire" actor Cuba Gooding Jr is venturing into direction with "Louisiana Caviar", an independent New Orleans-set thriller.

Gooding Jr will star with Richard Dreyfuss and Famke Janssen in the movie, written by Eitan Gorlin.

The film is a tale of sin involving good people who, out of desperation, resort to doing bad things that inevitably leave them with life-changing consequences.

Gooding Jr, who has rewritten the script for the film, originally came on board the project just as actor but things changed when its director dropped out.
