Qualifier Aryan Goveas of Maharashtra shocked seventh seed Dev Prajwal of Karnataka to enter the second round of the Khar Gymkhana All India Men's Open Tennis Tournament today.
Playing in only his second men's tournament, 16-year-old Mumbai lad Goveas snatched crucial breaks in both sets to record the solitary upset of the day.
Goveas, winner of Group 3 and 4 ITF titles recently, sailed to a 6-3 6-3 win.

In another significant opening round effort, lucky loser Aman Shah prevailed over unseeded Sagar Ahuja 6-4, 6-2.
Also through to round two were second seed Siddharth Vishwakarma of UP, fourth seed Suraj Prabodh of Karnataka, fifth seed Anvit Bendre of Maharashtra and no. 8 Samuel Rashein of Karnataka, all winning in straight sets.
