Govt doctor killed in Kanpur

A 42-year-old government doctor was found dead in his hotel room with his throat and private part slit in Kanpur Dehat area in the district, police said today.

Dr Satish Chandra, posted at Amrodha Primary Health Centre in Kanpur Dehat area, was killed last evening at a hotel in Rania area here, Kanpur Dehat Superintendent of Police K S Singh said.

Chandra had booked the hotel room yesterday and checked in with a woman, Singh said, adding that in late evening he was found dead by a hotel waiter as the back door of the room was found open and the woman missing.
 

Later, hotel manager informed the police about the incident, he added.

Police also found a message written with blood on the room wall -- "When human tries to distort the nature, the nature encapsulates herself," said Singh.

Police has detained four members of the hotel staff to interrogate and investigation is on to nab the culprits, Singh Said.

During interrogation, hotel manager said that Chandra used to come in the hotel with the woman friend, aged around 22-23.

Police has handed over the body of Chandra to his family.

Meanwhile, reacting over the death of Chandra, his family members ransacked the hotel yesterday.
