An assistant director of agriculture was caught taking a bribe from a trader in Peddapalli district on Friday, anti-corruption bureau (ACB) sleuths said.
The government official allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 as bribe for grant of licence to do seeds business, the sleuths said.
Unable to pay the bribe, the trader approached the sleuths, who caught the accused redhanded.
The accused would be produced before the ACB Special Court, the sleuths added.
