FMCG firm GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare today reported a 19.12 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 155.01 crore for the first quarter ended June 30.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 130.12 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
GSK Consumer Healthcare total income from operation on standalone basis was up by 8.18 per cent to Rs 1,045 crore in the quarter under review as against Rs 965.97 crore in the corresponding period last year, the company said in a BSE filing.
Shares of GSK Consumer Healthcare closed at Rs 6,340.95 apiece, up 2.17 per cent on BSE.
