Guargum prices drifted further by Rs 130 to Rs 6,440 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators engaged in trimming positions amid a weak trend at the spot markets.
In addition, reports of weak overseas trend kept pressure on guargum prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum for delivery in far-month March contracts slipped by another Rs 130, or 1.98 per cent to Rs 6,440 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,717 lots.

Guargum for most active January 2016 contract fell by Rs 90, or 1.42 per cent to Rs 6,260 per quintal, having an open interest of 28,090 lots.
Marketmen attributed persistent fall in guargum prices to a weak trend at the domestic as well as overseas markets.
