Gur prices steady in Delhi; up in Muzaffarnagar,Muradnagar

Gur (Jaggery) prices remained steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today largley on scattered buying support.

On the other hand, gur prices improved by up to Rs 100 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar markets owing due to fall in supplies bad weather conditions.

Marketmen attributed the rise in gur prices at Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar to restricted arrivals from manufacturing areas because of bad weather conditions.

Besides, higher advices from neighbouring states too enthused trading sentiments, they said.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur laddoo gained by Rs 100 to Rs 2,600-2,700, Chakku advanced from Rs 2,450-2,650 to Rs 2,450-2,700 per quintal.
 

Gur Khurpa also rose to settle at Rs 2,400-2,450 instead of Rs 2,300-2,400 per quintal.

At Muradnagar, gur pedi prices enquired higher by Rs 50 to Rs 2,400-2,450 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 2,600-2,700, pedi Rs 2,700-2,800, dhayya Rs 2,900-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,300-2,350, chakku Rs 2,450-2,750, khurpa Rs 2,400-2,450 and Ladoo Rs 2,600-2,700.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,400-2,450 and dhayya Rs 2,400-2,500.
