Gur steady in Delhi, fall in Muzaffarnagar, Muradnagar

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) prices ended steady in the national capital today on moderate buying support amid adequate stocks position.

On the other hand, Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets showed a weak trend with prices falling up to Rs 100 per quintal on weak demand.

Marketmen said subdued demand from stockists and retailers due to off-season, mainly led to the fall in gur prices at Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur Raskat prices plummeted from Rs 2,900-2,950 to Rs 2,850-2,900 per quintal.

Gur Chakku prices also slipped to settle at Rs 2,750-2,900 from Rs 2,800-3,000 per quintal.

At Muradnagar, prices of gur pedi enquired lower at Rs 2,950-3,000 as against previous level of Rs.3,050-3,100 per quintal.
 

Following are today's rates per quintal:

Gur chakku 3,200-3,300, pedi 3,400-3,500, dhayya N.A. And shakkar 3,600-3,700.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,950-2,900 chakku 2,750-2,900, khurpa N.A. And Ladoo N.A.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,950-3,000 and dhayya N.A.
