The Gurdaspur District Election Officer today placed under suspension a forest guard for not removing political hoardings from trees belonging to his department.
DEO Gurloveleen Singh Sidhu said that Sandeep Masih, a forest guard in Southbeat of Forest Department Dhariwal in Gurdaspur district, had not obeyed the directions of the Election Commission and has been suspended for dereliction of duty.
The DEO said Singh failed to remove political hoardings and posters from the trees belonging to the forest department.
