Hardcore Maoist arrested

and seized a pistol was seized from him from Srirampur village in Bihar's Saran district, a police officer said today.

Acting on a tip off, the police arrested the Maoist yesterday when he was going to deliver a letter demanding levy of Rs 8 lakh, Deputy Superintendent of Police Dilnawaz Ahmed said.

Besides a pistol, Maoist literature were seized from the Maoist who is wanted in four cases in Muzaffarpur, Saran and East Champaran districts.
