The first Budget Session of BJP government in Haryana, which starts tomorrow, is likely to be a stormy affair with Opposition Congress and INLD deciding to corner the government on host of issues including Land Acquisition Bill among others.
The other issues which are likely to raised by the Opposition parties include acute shortage of urea, White Paper on State Finances and non-implementation of Swaminathan Commission report.
Haryana Congress will gherao the Assembly on the opening day of the Session here in protest against the government's "anti-people and anti-farmers policies".
"We will gherao Vidhan Sabha tomorrow over BJP-led government's anti-people and anti-farmers policies," Haryana Congress Legislature Party leader, Kiran Choudhry said here today alleging that the state government had completely failed to keep its promises made before the Assembly election.
Hitting out at BJP-led government, Congress described the Land Acquisition Bill as "draconian law which will prove to be a setback for the farming community" if it is implemented with amendments.
"We have given 20 Calling Attention notices on various issues including Land Acquisition Bill in the Budget Session," Kiran further said.
The party-led by AICC General Secretary and in-charge of party affairs in Haryana, Shakeel Ahmed and Haryana Congress President Ashok Tanwar had even held a demonstration at the district headquarters on March 2 to protest the Land Acquisition Bill proposed by the Narendra Modi-government.
Haryana Congress will also take up the issue of urea shortage faced by wheat-growers during Rabi-sowing season.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav today accused the Centre of not importing urea in sufficient quantity during June-October last year leading to the "acute shortage" of fertiliser.
"I think it can be a Centre's part of conspiracy to decontrol the urea in future," he alleged while talking to mediapersons at Panchkula.
With Haryana government coming up with a 'White Paper on State Finances', Congress raised a question over sanctity of such a paper and described it as a "bundle of lies".
"It is a bundle of lies. It is only people who can judge the performance of state government not any White Paper," Haryana Congress President Ashok Tanwar said here today.
