Haryana govt approves Rs 29 cr plan for police modernization

Haryana Government has approved an action plan for Rs 29.78 crore under modernization of Police Force Scheme for procurement of weaponry/arms and other equipment during 2015.

This decision was taken in a meeting of State Level Empowered Committee held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, D S Dhesi here today to monitor implementation of the scheme.

Dhesi said that the amount would be spent on mobility, procurement of weaponry and arms from Ordnance Factories Board and from other sources, he said, according to an official release here.
