Haryana govt to study different aspects of road safety

The Haryana Government in collaboration with National Association of Software and Services Companies and another global research organisation will study and analyse different aspects of road safety to reduce accidents.

In a meeting on road safety held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here today, it was announced that Haryana Government with NASSCOM and the World Resources Institute will study and analyse different aspects of road safety so as to ensure zero road fatalities and promote road safety initiatives in the state, an official statement said.

While underlining the significance of road safety, the Chief Minister said the government was taking effective measures to prevent and bring down the number of road accidents in the state.
 

He suggested the need to survey drivers whose vehicles have been involved in road accidents so as to ascertain the reason behind such mishaps.

A presentation on Haryana's Vision for Zero Road Fatalities' was also made by the NASSCOM.
