Shares of Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL) today surged over 5 per cent on value buying after the stock fell in the preceding three trading sessions.
HDIL's stock ended at Rs 48.90, up 5.16 per cent on the BSE. During the day, the scrip rallied 6.23 per cent to Rs 49.40.
At the NSE, the realty firm's stock settled 5.05 per cent higher at Rs 48.85.

On the volume front, 16.54 lakh shares of the company changed hands at the BSE, while over one crore shares were traded at the NSE during the day.
In the previous three trading sessions, the stock had lost 5 per cent.
Meanwhile, the BSE benchmark index Sensex ended at 21,753.75 points, up by 13.66 points.
