Helena Bonham Carter ended her 13-year romance with director Tim Burton in 2014, but the actress says they are friendly with each other.
Carter, 49, who collaborated with the 57-year-old director on films like, "Planet of the Apes," "Big Fish" and "Corpse Bride," separated amicably and have continued co-parent their children, reported People magazine.
"I could write a thesis on what's happened and it is all-absorbing when a relationship breaks down, but I think we're coming through it. I think we'll have something very precious still," Carter said.
The pair has two children, 12-year-old son Billy and daughter Nell, seven.
