As many as 112 families affected by terrorism received financial assistance of around Rs 33 lakh and other household items from the Martyrs' Families Fund, created by Vijay Kumar Chopra, Editor-in-Chief of Hind Samachar Group, here today.
On 112th distribution ceremony of Martyrs' Families Fund, Rs 30,000 in form of fixed deposit, utensils, clothes, sewing machines and other items of daily use were distributed in presence of Chopra, to each of the 112 families who have lost its members in terror attacks, an official said.
The travelling cost of the families were also provided the Martyrs' Families Fund, he said.
Before this, Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Devvrat flagged off 413th and 414th truck by the Hind Samachar Group carrying ration, clothes and other items of daily use for the terrorism affected families.
