Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that the pace of development would be faster if the opposition has a constructive approach.
"The pace of development would be faster if the opposition has a constructive approach," the Chief Minister while speaking at a panel discussion on 'Aaj Ka Haryana-Kal Ka Haryana' organised by a national Hindi daily here.
Hooda said that he was satisfied with the progress made in the State and added, "I am confident of faster progress in days to come."
He also said that there was no end to development and there was scope for further improvement.
Referring to the statements of INLD leaders that appeared in a section of the press stating that the Chinese machines used in a power plant are not of good quality, Hooda questioned who got these machines installed.
He alleged that the opposition were now blaming the machines of being a Chinese manufacturer "because these were not of the company which they (INLD) wanted to supply machines."
While referring to his vision of Haryana of tomorrow, the CM said his basic aim was to make Haryana a model State, where people have good health, prosperity, enrichment and education.
He appreciated the decision to hold such a panel discussion.
On the issue of neighbouring Punjab developing Mullanpur (Punjab), near Chandigarh, as 'New Chandigarh', Hooda described Chandigarh as "brand name" saying that "there is no need to copy it and one should not do anything which is unethical."
He described the Food Security Ordinance 2013 as a step forward in realisation of Mahatma Gandhi's dream that no one should be hungry and all should get shelter and clothes.
