A horticulture university and forest research institute would be established in Gajwel assembly constituency at an estimated budget of Rs 2000 crore Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said after visiting Medak district today evening.
Around 500 acres of land for the horticulture university would be allotted in the Mulug mandal and its foundation stone would be laid sometime next week, he said.
The central government has granted Rs 100 crore and the Telangana state government is set to release another Rs 100 crore to begin construction work of the university.
An additional 450 acres of land would also be alloted for the establishment of the forest research institute in Mulug mandal.
