The mother of Himachal Pradesh High Court chief justice Mansoor Mir and Jammu and Kashmir High Court judge Muhammad Yaqoob Mir passed away at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar on Saturday.
Amina Begum (85) is survived by four sons and a daughter, a High Court release here said.
Her Namaz-e-Jinaza was offered this morning at her ancestral village Rajpora in south Kashmir's Pulwama district.
Two minutes silence was observed in the premises of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh by the Registrar General, the Registrars, the staff and the security personnel to mourn the death and express respect to the departed soul.
