HPC employee killed in road mishap in Assam

A 60-year-old man was knocked down by a truck in front of the Hindustan Paper Corporation Jagiroad Paper Mill in Assam's Morigaon district today, police said.

The victim was identified as retired HPC employee Yakub Ali was hit and killed on the spot by the Guwahat-bound truck when he was on way to the Paper Mill office, they said.

The driver of the truck was arrested and the vehicle seized, police said.
