The bag of the man, who was travelling from Nagaland to Bihar, was checked last night following suspicion and the cartridges were found in his posession, RPF Rangia officer-in-charge Biplab Mazumdar said today.

During interrogation the man confessed that he had taken such consignments of ammunition a number of times earlier from Nagaland to Bihar, where he is a resident of Naraharpur in Vaishali district, he said.

Investigations are on to find out whether the man had links with militant outfits or was a carrier of arms and ammunition, the RPF said.
