Humid day in Delhi after heavy overnight showers

Humidity levels soared today and the mercury settled at 34.9 degrees Celsius after heavy rains lashed the national capital overnight.

The city recorded 56 mm of rainfall till 8.30 AM today but no showers were received later in the day.

"The humidity levels oscillated between 96 and 59 per cent. The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal," the official said.

The minimum temperature settled at 23.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below the normal for this time of the year.

The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy sky for tomorrow with light rains and thundershowers in some areas of the city.
 

"The maximum and minimum temperatures tomorrow would be around 35 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively," the official said.

Yesterday, maximum temperature was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius, whereas minimum settled at 26.2, both one notch above normal for this time of the year.
