Hurriyat activist shot dead by unidentified gunmen

Unidentified gunmen today shot dead a separatist activist in the Beerwah area of central Kashmir's Budgam district, police said.

Mohammad Yousuf Rather, an activist of the Hurriyat Conference, was shot at by the gunmen at Charangam, a police official said.

Rather died on the spot, the official said adding further details were awaited.
