In a grievous incident, a four-month- old baby died after he was injured during an altercation between his parents in Suroorpur area of the district, police said today.
According to police, the baby was seriously hurt after falling from his mother's lap on March 28 when she was having an argument with her husband Vishal after he returned drunk to their home in Rasna village.
The baby named Akshay slipped from the lap of his mother Ekta and got injured, they said. The infant was admitted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries yesterday.
A case has been registered in this connection following a complaint by the mother and Vishal has been arrested under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC.
