The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Tata Strive today signed an MoU for skill development and livelihood generation.
"The signing of MoU between ICC and Tata Strive is the first step towards the goal of making a difference. ICC will be the facilitator and help identify skilled manpower requirement of various organisations operating in the Eastern and Northeastern parts of the country," ICC President Shiv Siddhant Kaul said.
"It has been estimated that by 2022, India will have 500 million people between the age group of 15 and 59. We want to partner with industry associations and also government to expand the reach and capacity building," Tata Strive COO Anita Rajan said.

Tata Strive is the CSR skilling programme of Tata Group and currently manages skill training for 25 trades. It has a special training programme called Empowerment Coaching for all its trainers to ensure 'standardised high quality' delivery of training.
Rajan said Tata Strive has grown to 60 centres over the last 18 months to impart skill education but did not disclose details of spending and target under the programme.
"We have applied to the National Skill Development Centre for partnering with them," Rajan added.
