Idols in village temple vandalised

More than ten idols of village deities at a local temple were found vandalised near Kadaiyam in this district this morning, police said.

The idols in the Aruvelrajan temple located on Kadayam-Mettur Road were found smashed with some rods.

Ambasumthiram DSP Manimaran rushed to the spot and conducted an on-the-spot inquiry, police said adding further investigation was on.
