An illegal arms manufacturing unit was unearthed and a person was arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Barnawi village here, the police said today.
The unit was being run in an area under the forest department, they said.
The police have also seized five pistols, one rifle and 10 unfinished guns, Superintendent of Police, Kairana, Ajay Pal Sharma said.
However, another accused managed to escape, the SP said.
