IMFA's Sukinda Mine awarded for safety, welfare, water mgmt

Sukinda Chromite Mines of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys (IMFA) has been honoured for safety and welfare drive for its contractual workers as well as water management in the mining area.

The award was conferred at the concluding day function of half yearly safety week organised by Odisha Metalliferous Mines Safety Week Celebration Committee here, a company release said today.

The committee organised the safety week under the aegis of the directorate General of Mines Safety, Bhubaneswar Region here on Tuesday, it said.

Dr A K Sinha, Deputy DGMS, SEZ, Ranchi, P R Ghadai MLA, Sukinda and R Subramanian, DMS Bhubaneswar Region were among the dignitaries were present in the function.
