Incessant rain hits normal life in Puducherry

: Normal life was hit in Puducherry with incessant rains pounding the Union Territory since yesterday.

Official sources said Puducherry and its suburbs recorded 13.3 cm rainfall in the 24 hours ending 8.30 AM today.

Low lying areas were inundated.

Government declared today a holiday for educational institutions, including private run colleges in view of rain and squally weather.
