With the arrest of two members and recovery of 11 motorcycles, Punjab police today busted an inter-district gang of thieves from here.
These motorcycles were stolen by the gang members from different places within the state including Phagwara, Phillaur, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, SBS Nagar (Nawanshahr), Phagwara DSP Manpreet Singh Dhillon said.
Sanjiv Kumar and Abhinandan were arrested at a check post near Navi Abadi Narangshahpur village, he said.
The DSP said that 450 grams intoxicating powder was also recovered from them.
The duo's accomplice, Om Parkash alias Sunny, who was already locked in Jalandhar jail for cases of thefts, was also brought here on production warrant for further interrogation and revelations, he added.
