Interim KPCC President M M Hassan takes charge

: Veteran Congress leader M M Hassan today took charge as the interim KPCC president in the presence of a host of senior party leaders of Kerala.

Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Opposition leader in the assembly Ramesh Chennithala and former KPCC President V M Sudheeran were among those present at the function.

Hassan said he would take all efforts to stregthen and carry along all factions of the party together.

V M Sudheeran had resigned on March 10, citing health grounds after completing three years in the post.

67-year-old Sudheeran was injured after a fall in Kozhikode while attending a party function.
 

A full-fledged President is likely to be appointed after the Malappuram Lok Sabha bypoll on April 12.
