International theatre festival of Kerala in Thrissur

A week-long seventh edition of International Theatre Festival of Kerala (ITFoK) would be held here from January 11 next, organisers Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi announced today.

Thespians from Mexico, Vietnam, Egypt, Lebanon, Korea, Singapore, Jaapan and Qatar would be participating in the event, Akademi Chairman Soorya Krishnamorthy told reporters here.

The Akademi would incur an estimated expenditure of about Rs one crore, he said, adding that the government contribution was insufficient. The sale of tickets was expected to fetch Rs five lakh, he added.
