Income Tax authorities Tuesday conducted searches at MP P Srinivasa Reddy's properties, which he claimed were "routine" in nature.
When contacted, Reddy confirmed the searches.
"These are routine. After every five years any time, it happens in business...for those whose turnover is good. This is as part of that.I don't think there is any political angle in this," he said.
Reddy was elected to Lok Sabha in 2014 elections on YSR congress party ticket but later switched over to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
There was no official word from the IT department here on the searches.
