IT searches reveal undisclosed income of Rs 2.2 crore

The Income Tax authorities conducted a survey (search) against five business establishments here over the last three days, following which the concerned proprietors surrendered undisclosed income of Rs 2.2 crore, it said.

"We have conducted survey against five business establishments and detected large amount of undisclosed income from their possession," IT Joint Commissioner Dr Abhishek Shukla told PTI.

So far, Rakesh Borewells and Rakesh Krishi Kendra Director, Ravindra Agrawal has surrendered Rs 1.25 crore, Deepak Krishi Kendra Director, Devisingh Suryawanshi, Rs 20 lakh, and Raj Saundarya Prasadhan and Chouhdary Krishi Kendra, Rs 35 and Rs 40 lakh respectively, the IT official said.
 

A 23-member team including IT officials and inspectors from Jabalpur, Chhindwara and Seoni conducted the survey.
