J&K: 79 bovines rescued, 5 trucks seized in Ramban

Police today said it seized five trucks carrying 79 bovines on Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Ramban district of the state.

During checking, the police intercepted the trucks carrying bovines at Batote in the district late last night, a police officer said.

The trucks were seized and bovines rescued, he said, adding the drivers of the vehicles managed to escape from the spot.

A case has been registered and a manhunt launched to nab the culprits, he added.
