Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today assigned the portfolio of Information Department to Minister of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Choudhary Zulfkar Ali.
"In pursuance of Rule five of the Jammu and Kashmir Government Business Rules, I, Mehbooba Mufti, Chief Minister, Jammu and Kashmir do hereby assign the charge of Information Department to Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali in addition to the subjects already assigned to him," reads an order issued by the chief minister.
The department was with the chief minister until now.
