Jammu and Kashmir Congress Chief Gulam Ahmed Mir today met Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and discussed about current political situation of the state amid the uncertainty over government formation by PDP and BJP.
Ghulam Ahmed Mir along with a team of senior leaders met Rahul Gandhi at New Delhi and discussed the latest political situation with him, J-K Congress spokesman said.
The delegation apprised Rahul about the latest political scenario in the state besides discussingorganizational affairs and activities of the party, he said.

The leaders briefed Gandhi about ongoing membership drive of the party in the state and the process for theelection of delegates in order to constitute party units at booth level and upwards as per schedule and guidelines of the AICC.
The Gandhi scion advised the JKPCC leadership to strengthen the party units at all levels with representation from women, energetic young leaders and down trodden sections of the society.
The party cadres should be geared up to meet the future challenges in the State, Gandhi told the delegation.
AICC General Secretary in charge of Jammu and Kashmir affairs Ambika Soni was alsopresent in the meeting.
