Jammu and Kashmir government has set up a winter secretariat here for addressing the problems of people in the Valley, following the shifting of its administrative offices to Jammu early this week.

"The Government has set up winter secretariat in the Civil Secretariat here in which ministers would be available for the redressal of public grievances on rotation basis during winter months," an official spokesman said today.

Civil Secretariat- the seat of the Jammu and Kashmir government- and other offices were moved to Jammu on November 4 for six months in continuance with the century-old practice of bi-annual Darbar move.

The state ministers will be available in the order of one after the other at the winter secretariat, starting with J&K Floriculture Minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed taking over till November 8.

The rotation among ministers will continue till January end next year.
